In his health care press conference tonight, Obama stressed repeatedly that most "sacrifice" required from health care cost reduction should come from "sacrificing" unnecessary and ineffective treatments -- which makes sense when you consider that Americans spend in the neighborhood of 70% more per capita on health care than citizens of other wealthy countries without gaining any better outcomes.
